Apple Cauldrons



Serves 2

 

Ingredients

2 eating apples

Enough raisins to fill apple cavities

Agave Syrup - Maple Flavoured

Water

Edible green glitter


To serve - 1/2 pint custard coloured with natural green colouring

To stir cauldron - two Magic Wands - see Halloween Biscuits 

 

Method

  1. Wash, dry and core apples

  2. Cut a little more from around the top of the 'hole'

  3. Score around the apples about 1/3 of the way from the top

  4. Place in a small oven proof dish

  5. Fill both apple cavities loosely with raisins

  6. Pour 1/2 " cold water around the apples

  7. Pour a tbsp agave nectar one each apple

  8. Place in oven at Fan oven 160 Gas 4 for 40 to 45 minutes until apples are cooked through - test with a skewer. Baste a couple of times during cooking

 

Place in a serving bowl and pour round the green custard, decorate with edible green glitter.

 

Pour over the syrup left in the dish.
