Sage Flower Mustard

Serves 4


2 tbs sage flowers, all green parts removes

4 tbs creme fresh (or yoghurt with a tsp lemon juice)

1 tsp mustard powder

1 tbs young sage leaves – cut into very fine segments

1 tbs chopped garlic chive leaves


  1. Carefully pull the flowers from their green bases

  2. In a dessert sized bowl mix the creme fresh (or yoghurt) and the dried mustard powder

  3. Add the sage leaves, sage flowers and chives- toss lightly together

  4. Chill in the fridge until required

  5. Serve with BBQ’d sausages and a green salad
